GIARDINO PART
Il PART Palazzi dell’Arte Rimini amplia i propri spazi inaugurando una nuova sezione dedicata alle sculture presenti nella Collezione San Patrignano. Protagonista di questo nuovo progetto di musealizzazione e&grave l’area verde che circonda il Palazzo dell’Arengo e quello del Podesta&grave. Con un’estensione di circa duemila metri quadrati, il giardino e&grave stato concepito nell’ottica di accompagnare il visitatore attraverso un sentiero che mette in dialogo l’ambiente naturale con l’arte contemporanea: un itinerario caratterizzato da una pavimentazione in cubetti in pietra di San Marino e mattoni in cotto e dalla piantumazione di 345 siepi di tasso. Immaginato anche con l’intenzione di valorizzare la memoria storica del territorio, il Giardino delle Sculture evoca i canoni del giardino all’italiana, richiamando al contempo l’originale planimetria dell’antico forno comunale, esistente in quest'area fino al 1898 e di cui alcuni resti appaiono ancora visibili. Il giardino e&grave impreziosito dalle sculture di sette artisti chiave del panorama contemporaneo: Paul Kneale, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Giuseppe Penone, Alberto Garutti, Kiki Smith, Chen Zhen e Piotr Uklanski. Fra gli interventi spiccano il blocco di marmo di Penone, dal cui interno affiorano radici e rami di alberi, l’installazione site specific di Paul Kneale e la suggestiva “Il cane qui ritratto appartiene a una delle famiglie di Trivero. Quest’opera e&grave dedicata a loro e alle persone che sedendosi qui ne parleranno” di Alberto Garutti.

The PART Palazzi dell’Arte Rimini expands its spaces by inaugurating a new section dedicated to the sculptures in the San Patrignano Collection. The protagonist of this new museum project is the green area surrounding the Palazzo dell’Arengo and that of the Podestà. With an extension of about two thousand square meters, the garden was conceived with the aim of accompanying the visitor through a path that puts the natural environment in dialogue with contemporary art: an itinerary characterized by a paving in stone cubes of San Marino and terracotta bricks and the planting of 345 yew hedges. Also imagined with the intention of enhancing the historical memory of the territory, the Garden of Sculptures evokes the canons of the Italian garden, recalling at the same time the original plan of the ancient municipal oven, existing in this area until 1898 and of some remains of which are still visible. The garden is embellished with the sculptures of seven key artists of the contemporary scene: Paul Kneale, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Giuseppe Penone, Alberto Garutti, Kiki Smith, Chen Zhen and Piotr Uklanski. Among the interventions stand out the block of Penone marble, from inside which tree roots and branches emerge, the site-specific installation by Paul Kneale and the suggestive "The dog portrayed here belongs to one of the Trivero families. This work is dedicated to them and to the people who sit here will talk about it "by Alberto Garutti.
