La luce è strumento espressivo per ogni artista, ma è anche il mezzo per la percezione delle opere e dei monumenti e la corretta illuminazione è una sfida che implica attenzione alla fruizione, alla valorizzazione e agli aspetti conservativi delle opere. Per il dipinto dell'Ultima Cena di Leonardo da Vinci la luce che pervade la scena viene percepita ancora oggi come uno dei principali elementi espressivi utilizzato dall?artista per creare un'opera di straordinario coinvolgimento emotivo. Il convegno "La luce e l'Ultima Cena di Leonardo da Vinci" ha l'obiettivo di creare un'occasione di confronto sui temi della luce e dell'illuminazione dell'opera in un'ottica di multidisciplinarietà ed aprirsi al racconto di esperienze recenti di nuova illuminazione di opere d'arte e monumenti, senza tralasciare il tema della funzione attraverso la luce anche in ambito cinematografico.

Light is an expressive tool for every artist, but it is also the means for the perception of works and monuments correct lighting is a challenge that implies attention to the use, enhancement and conservative aspects of the works. For the Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper painting the light that pervades the scene is still perceived today as one of the main expressive elements used by the artist to create a work of extraordinary emotional involvement. The conference "The light and the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci" aims to create an opportunity for discussion on the themes light and illumination of the work in a multidisciplinary & perspective and open up to the storytelling recent new lighting of works of art and monuments, without neglecting the theme of function through light also in the cinema sector.
