SENTIRE E DIRE LA LUCE
Scienza, scena, poesia, paesaggio
Sentire e dire la luce: scienza, scena, poesia, paesaggio vuole portare l’attenzione sui
fenomeni luminosi tramite appuntamenti che invitano i partecipanti al dialogo con
studiosi/e, artisti/e e professionisti/e.
Il presupposto è che la chiave di accesso al “discorso” sulla luce nelle arti siano le
esperienze della luce in ambiti più vasti, ma anche legate al nostro vissuto quotidiano: la
scienza, il paesaggio, il giardino.
L’iniziativa sarà aperta da un incontro che prende spunto dalla pubblicazione del volume
Dire Luce. Una riflessione a due voci sulla luce in scena (di Cristina Grazioli e Pasquale
Mari), guidato da un architetto e lighting designer; proseguirà il giorno successivo
introdotta da una conferenza su neuroscienze, luceterapia e cronoterapia, alternando poi
riflessioni e conversazioni ad azioni performative (in particolare La cameriera di poesia
- in due tempi) che coniugano poesia, ascolto e performance. Uno specialista della luce
in scena ci accompagnerà nell’esercizio di percezione e conoscenza della luce negli spazi
del Teatro Accademico e nei luoghi aperti lungo le mura di Castelfranco Veneto, dove i
partecipanti saranno invitati a ‘catturare’ la luce, scattando foto o girando brevissimi video
(esperienza parzialmente sperimentata con Pasquale Mari, in occasione di Una giornata
nella luce, 9 maggio 2019, negli spazi di Villa Bolasco). Nell’iniziativa si inserisce la
presentazione di alcuni esiti del progetto Dire Luce. Le parole e le cose che illuminano la
scena (lessico della luce in scena e nelle arti contigue).
L’iniziativa scaturisce da diverse esperienze che negli anni scorsi hanno visto momenti
di partecipazione e condivisione di ricerche e didattica con un pubblico esterno all’ambito
accademico; occasioni concepite nell’ambito della luce in scena, ma con sconfinamenti
in altri territori, artistici e non.
Le due giornate di appuntamenti si terranno nella cornice del Dipartimento di Studi
Linguistici e Letterari (Complesso Beato Pellegrino) e della Libreria Mazehual a Padova,
del Teatro Accademico di Castelfranco Veneto e degli spazi verdi lungo le mura della
stessa città.

FEEL AND TELL THE LIGHT
Science, scene, poetry, landscape
Feeling and speaking the light: science, scene, poetry, landscape wants to bring attention to
luminous phenomena through appointments that invite participants to dialogue with
scholars, artists and professionals.
The assumption is that the key to access the "discourse" on light in the arts is the
experiences of light in wider areas, but also linked to our daily life: the
science, landscape, garden.
The initiative will be opened by a meeting that takes its cue from the publication of the volume
Say Light. A two-part reflection on light on stage (by Cristina Grazioli and Pasquale
Mari), led by an architect and lighting designer; it will continue the next day
introduced by a conference on neuroscience, light therapy and chronotherapy, then alternating
reflections and conversations to performative actions (in particular The maid of poetry
- in two stages) that combine poetry, listening and performance. A light specialist
on stage he will accompany us in the exercise of perception and knowledge of light in spaces
of the Academic Theater and in the open places along the walls of Castelfranco Veneto, where i
participants will be invited to 'capture' the light, taking photos or shooting very short videos
(experience partially experimented with Pasquale Mari, on the occasion of One day
in the light, 9 May 2019, in the spaces of Villa Bolasco). The
presentation of some results of the Dire Luce project. The words and things that illuminate the
scene (lexicon of light on stage and in the adjoining arts).
The initiative stems from various experiences that have seen moments in recent years
of participation and sharing of research and teaching with an external audience
academic; occasions conceived in the context of light on stage, but with overruns
in other territories, artistic and otherwise.
The two days of appointments will be held within the framework of the Department of Studies
Linguistic and Literary (Beato Pellegrino Complex) and the Mazehual Library in Padua,
of the Academic Theater of Castelfranco Veneto and the green spaces along the walls of the
same city.
